PATTERN NOTES
Classic Christmas Stocking is knit from the cuff to the toe with an after -thought heel. The round toe is worked with simple decreases. You will switch to DPN once your circular needles are too large for the remaining stiches. Or you may choose to knit the entire sock with DPN.
I personally prefer to use a smooth yarn made from cotton for my scrap yarn in the after-thought heel. I find it much easier to remove the stitches.
