Embroidery Pendant - MARY LOOS COLLECTION
Painting with string - creating scenes of peaceful escapes and captivating scenery on a pendant. Held close to your heart on a silver chain.
Each fiber pendant in this collection is hand embroidered, set in a miniature wooden frame, and strung onto a dainty sterling silver chain. This beautiful collection was created to honor the talented Mary Loos. Her paintings inspire me and bring lightness and a creative spirit to my heart. The pretty moonlit structures, or quiet houses tucked into the trees always whispered a story to me. I felt compelled to recreate these scenes to wear as a keepsake.
I hand stitch each picture onto organic cotton using premium cotton embroidery thread. The wooden pendant is crafted from eco-friendly waste-wood repurposed into these gorgeous frames. These pieces take me between 6-7 hours to embroider, and then I set them into their frames which consists of a hand cut paperboard disk, felt disk, and glue. This creates a beautiful three-dimensional image of vibrant thread.
